
The condensing equipment of a steam turbine is an essential component of the condensing steam turbine unit. Its function is to condense the exhaust steam of the condensing steam turbine into water, forming and maintaining the required vacuum. The performance of the condensing equipment directly affects the thermal economy and safety of the entire unit.
Condenser Working Principle
Condenser equipment plays the role of a cooling source in the thermal cycle of a steam turbine, used to reduce the exhaust pressure of the turbine to improve the thermal efficiency of the cycle. The most effective way to reduce the exhaust pressure of the steam turbine is to condense the exhaust steam into water. Because if steam releases heat in a sealed container (condenser), it will condense a large volume of steam into a small volume of condensate, accumulating at the bottom of the condenser. This creates a high vacuum in the space previously filled with steam, which is the simple working principle of condenser equipment.
The task of the condensate equipment is
(1) Establish and maintain a high vacuum at the steam turbine exhaust outlet to improve the thermal efficiency of the cycle.
(2) Condense the steam from the turbine into clean condensate to serve as the feedwater for the boiler, and receive the thermal system.
