Material Characteristics

Hollow boards, hollow polycarbonate sheets, hollow polycarbonate panels, honeycomb polycarbonate sheets, U-lock polycarbonate sheets, single and double hook polycarbonate sheets, and skylight panels. PC polycarbonate sheets are made primarily from polycarbonate. These sheets made a rapid entry into the architectural and decorative materials market in the mid-1980s. They offer superior properties such as lightweight, weather-resistant, flame-retardant, and sound-insulating compared to laminated glass, wired glass, tempered glass, and hollow glass, thanks to the high quality of polycarbonate. They have gained widespread recognition in architectural design, decoration projects, environmental engineering, and the advertising industry.

Product Features

(1) Transparency: PC Sunlight Panels offer a high light transmission rate of up to 89%, comparable to glass. UV-coated panels do not yellow or haze under sunlight, and only lose 10% of their light transmission after ten years. PVC loses up to 15%-20%, while glass fiber loses 12%-20%.

(2) Impact Resistance: Its impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of the same thickness acrylic board, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. It can withstand a 3kg hammer falling from two meters without cracking, earning it the nickname "Unbreakable Glass" and "Resounding Steel."

(3) UV Protection: The PC board features an anti-UV (UV) coating on one side and anti-condensation treatment on the other, combining UV protection, heat insulation, and fog prevention in one. It blocks UV rays and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.

(4) Lightweight: Half the density of glass, saving costs on transportation, handling, installation, and support frame.

(5) Flame Retardant: In accordance with National Standard GB8624-2006, PC Sunlight Panels are classified as B-grade flame-retardant. The auto-ignition temperature of PC panels is 580°C, they self-extinguish after being removed from the fire source, and do not produce toxic gases during combustion, nor promote the spread of fire.

(6) Bendability: Cold bending on-site according to design drawings is available to install arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The minimum bend radius is 175 times the panel thickness, and can also be heat bent.

(7) Sound Insulation: PC Sunboard offers superior sound insulation, with better acoustic insulation than glass and acrylic panels of the same thickness under the same thickness conditions.
