One. Overview of Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Machine

The screw mud dewatering machine's screw shaft is formed by the interlayering of fixed rings and movable rings, with a filter device formed by the spiral shaft running through them. The front section is the concentration section, and the rear section is the dewatering section; the filter gap formed between the fixed and movable rings, as well as the pitch of the spiral shaft, gradually decreases from the concentration section to the dewatering section. As the spiral shaft rotates, it not only pushes sludge from the concentration section to the dewatering section but also continuously drives the movable ring to sweep the filter gap, preventing blockages.

The screw press sludge dewatering machine integrates an automatic control cabinet, flocculation mixing tank, sludge thickening and dewatering unit, and collection tank. It can achieve flocculation under full automatic operation, and continuously complete the sludge thickening and squeezing dewatering process, while recycling or discharging the collected filtrate.
During operation, sludge enters the filter筒 through the feed inlet and is propelled towards the discharge outlet by the spiral shaft blades. As the pitch between the spiral shaft blades gradually decreases, the pressure on the sludge continually increases, initiating dewatering under pressure differences. Water flows out of the filtration gap between the fixed and movable plates. Simultaneously, the equipment relies on the self-cleaning function between the fixed and movable plates to sweep the filtration gap and prevent clogging. After sufficient dewatering, the sludge cake is discharged from the outlet under the propulsion of the spiral shaft.

Section 3: The Principle of the Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Mechanism
1. Concentration: As the spiral drive shaft rotates, the multiple fixed and sliding blades around the drive shaft move relative to each other. Under the force of gravity, water is filtered out through the gaps between the moving blades, achieving rapid concentration.

2. Dewatering: The thickened sludge moves forward continuously as the spiral shaft rotates; along the direction of the sludge cake outlet, the pitch of the spiral shaft gradually decreases, and the gap between each spiral also narrows, causing the volume of the spiral cavity to shrink. Under the pressure of the back plate at the outlet, the internal pressure gradually increases. With the sequential continuous operation of the spiral drive shaft, the moisture in the sludge is squeezed out, the solid content in the filter cake increases continuously, and the continuous dewatering of the sludge is achieved.

3. Self-cleaning: The rotation of the spiral shaft drives the moving ring to continuously rotate. The equipment achieves a continuous self-cleaning process through the movement between the fixed and moving rings, thereby cleverly avoiding the clogging issue commonly found in traditional centrifugal dryers.
