Epoxy floor coatings are a type of paint that can securely cover surfaces, serving as protective coatings, decorative finishes, signage, and other specialized chemical coatings. The choice of epoxy floor coatings plays a crucial role in the renovation or remolding of indoor floors in parking garages, industrial workshops, production areas, and other spaces. However, many consumers opt to use gasoline to treat epoxy floor coatings, but this approach is not ideal as gasoline does not fully dissolve the components of the epoxy and poses certain risks. We all know that once something is stained with epoxy floor coating, it should be removed as soon as possible, as old stains can be difficult to eliminate.

How to Remove Epoxy Floor Paint from the Body or Clothing:

1. Material Differentiation: We should differentiate the properties of epoxy floor coatings, whether water-based or oil-based. For water-based epoxy, clean with plain water directly. For oil-based epoxy, apply a cleaner to the stain on the epoxy floor coating and then rinse with water, generally removing the epoxy stains.

2. Gasoline: We suggest trying gasoline or other thinners for cleaning; it's highly effective. Nail polish remover also works well and comes with the added benefit of a pleasant scent.

3. Kerosene: If the epoxy floor paint has not dried, we can first wipe it repeatedly with kerosene, then with diluted vinegar, and finally rinse with water to remove it. If the epoxy floor paint is dry, it is difficult to remove.

Two: Removal Methods for Refurbishing Old Epoxy Floors

The Alkali Solvent Method: It is recommended to use alkali chemicals such as sodium hydroxide to corrode old epoxy floor paint. After the old epoxy floor is damaged, scrape off the paint film with a scraper, then remove it with a shovel. If the alkali liquid cannot be cleaned off in one go, try washing multiple times and then rinse with warm water.

2. Flame Removal Method: Soften the old epoxy resin flooring under high temperatures using a flame spray gun, then remove the raised epoxy paint film with a shovel. Fire prevention measures should be taken during use to avoid causing a fire. This method is relatively economical and simple.
