Structure and Composition of Granulator

The granulator is mainly composed of feeding, stirring, granulating, transmission, and lubrication systems. Its operation process requires blending powders with a moisture content not exceeding 15%.

From the hopper into the feeding screw, the material flow is adjusted by varying the speed of the variable-speed motor, then it enters the mixer.

By stirring with a stirrer and mixing with steam for tempering, if molasses or oil is needed, they are also added to the mixing drum and tempered with steam together.

The fat addition rate is generally no more than 3%; otherwise, it is difficult to shape. After conditioning, the temperature of the powder material can reach 64-85°C, and the humidity can reach 14-16%.

Then, the mixed powder passes through a chute and is removed of iron impurities by an optional magnetic separator, before entering the granulation chamber.
