Consequently, larger single-drum vibratory compactors with a tonnage slightly over 10 tons or double-drum vibratory compactors weighing over 10 tons are commonly used for compaction. Tests have shown that a good compaction effect can be achieved when the vibration frequency is within the range of 2540 Hz.
