For large-scale storage tanks, welding is typically required for mass production. There are specific requirements for welding in this context. Today, let's take a brief look at the welding requirements for storage tanks!
Firstly, the storage tank you need to weld must meet the requirements of the welding process and welding materials.
2. When welding the tank's top plate and the flange angle steel, it is crucial to ensure that the weld seams are symmetrically and evenly distributed, and that the welding is segmented and reversed along the same direction.
3. First weld the inner seam, then the outer seam. For radial long seams, it is advisable to use the alternating gap welding method and segmentally back-weld from the center outward.
4. Prior to welding, it is essential to inspect the assembly quality and remove rust, moisture, and dirt from the bevel face and within a 20mm range on both sides of the bevel, ensuring thorough drying.
When the defect or grinding depth exceeds 1mm, the area should be repaired with welding and then ground smooth.
6. Any harmful defects such as scratches deeper than 0.5mm, arc burns, weld spatter, etc., should be ground smooth. The thickness of the steel plate before the grinding should not be less than the nominal thickness of the steel plate minus the negative deviation value.
7. The welding of the can wall is performed first by welding the vertical seams, followed by the circumferential seams. After the longitudinal seams of adjacent wall panels have been焊接, the circumferential seams between them are then焊接. Welders are evenly distributed and焊接 in the same direction.
Welding of spot welding and welding fixtures should be performed by a qualified welder, and the arc should not be struck on the base material or on a completed weld.
