Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks Advantages

Autoclaved aerated concrete blocks are a type of porous concrete product made primarily from fly ash, lime, cement, gypsum, and slag. They are produced by adding appropriate amounts of foaming agents, regulators, and bubble stabilizers, followed by a process of batching, mixing, casting, static waiting, cutting, and high-pressure autoclaving.

The unit volume weight of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks is one-third that of clay bricks, with 3-4 times better thermal insulation, double the soundproofing performance, and over one-time water resistance compared to clay bricks. Their fire resistance is 6-8 times that of reinforced concrete. The strength of the masonry is about 80% of the block's strength (for red bricks, it's 30%). Their construction properties are also excellent; they can be manufactured in various sizes in factories and can be cut, planed, drilled, and nailed like wood. Due to their larger volume, they also facilitate faster construction and can serve as filling material for general buildings.
