Fritted glass equipment installation process - porcelain surface protection

When performing construction and welding near glass-lined equipment, it is important to cover pipe openings to prevent damage to the porcelain layer from foreign hard objects or welding slag.

Employees entering the drum for inspection and installation of accessories should wear soft-soled or cloth-bottom shoes (prohibited from carrying hard items such as metal), and the drum bottom should be lined with sufficient thick soft padding, which must be clean and have an adequate surface area.

3. Glass-lined equipment with a ceramic coating is not allowed to be welded on the outer surface; when welding on a jacket without a ceramic coating, protective measures must be taken for the steel plate with the ceramic coating. The area near the welding should not become locally overheated. Protective measures include not using oxygen cutting or welding, and the jacket interior must be water flushed during cutting. When the welding joint is close to the upper and lower flanges, the internal ceramic surface should be preheated evenly and焊接 should be performed using an intermittent welding technique.
