01 Cracking

Wall cracks should not be taken lightly; seemingly minor fissures can actually lead to significant issues.

Causes

Improper material ratios during renovation.

②Affected by climate and temperature;

③ Wall base strength is not up to standard.

④ House settlement and similar issues.

Solution

In the first two cases, clean the crack areas using steel wire brushes and bristle brushes. Apply an elastic crack-filling putty to level and fill the cracks firmly, preventing hollowing inside the cracks.

If the cracks are due to inadequate base strength or house settlement, it indicates that the original wall has defects. During the handover, wall quality should be checked repeatedly to prevent future wall issues, and targeted treatment should also be carried out during the renovation process. However, this is no longer something we can resolve ourselves; professional assistance is required.

02 Peeling

Causes

The wall base treatment is not clean.

② The selected primer is not compatible with the wall substrate.

③High wall humidity, excessive moisture content in the base, or efflorescence of salt and alkali.

④Severe wall foundation spalling or grinding without dust removal after treatment.

Solution

Scrape off peeling areas and reapply joint compound, then paint with primer. If the peeling is due to sub-base issues, reinforce the base, level with plaster, apply a mesh, and paint with primer and topcoat.

03 Blister

Cause of Occurrence

Before plastering, the cement and plaster layers were not cleaned thoroughly.

② Applying primer before the putty has dried.

③Interior wall moisture can lead to hollowing over time.

Solution

Scrape and clean the problematic wall thoroughly, seal the wall, and repaint with new coating.
