1. Ventilators should be installed on the ground level or platforms as much as possible for ease of maintenance and inspection; for centrifugal ventilators, if the motor power is less than or equal to 75kW, a valve for starting purposes only can be omitted. When selecting a centrifugal boiler blower due to the need to exhaust high-temperature flue gas or air, a starting valve should be installed to prevent motor overload during cold start-up operation.
2. The ventilation fan installation pedestal (foundation) should possess sufficient strength, stability, and durability, and the pedestal's vibration should comply with the following specifications:
1) The natural vibration frequency of the base unit must not exceed one-third of the motor and fan rotational speed.
The vibration speed difference between the fan in operation and the fan at rest must be greater than 3 times.
3. The connection between the ventilator, air intake, and exhaust ducts should be equipped with flexible joints. Devices such as the intake and exhaust ducts should have separate supports and be securely mounted on the foundation or supported by other structural components of the building. The housing should not bear the weight of other components.
4. Vibration isolation measures should be taken when installing ventilation fans on building components.
