Hydrocyclone Introduction
Hydrocyclones are separation devices that utilize centrifugal force fields to separate two-phase fluid streams, widely used in operations such as coal slime water classification, concentration, dewatering, and desliming.
Hydrocyclone Working Principle
Slurry enters the hydrocyclone core under pressure, along the tangent or involute direction through the feed opening, depending on the feeding form of the feed material. Under the action of centrifugal force, large particles move downward with the outer vortex, resulting in coarse sediment product obtained from the lower sediment outlet. Fine particles move upward with the inner vortex, yielding a finer overflow product from the upper overflow pipe.
