2. Crystalline aluminum chloride for casting is primarily used in the precision casting industry, replacing ammonium chloride as a shell hardener for investment casting patterns. It offers advantages such as stable quality, high shell strength, easy trimming, and improved working conditions for workers. Compared to magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride as hardeners, it requires less usage and has a lower overall cost. Using aluminum chloride as a shell hardener results in higher shell strength, with a product yield rate approximately 3% higher than when using ammonium chloride or magnesium chloride as hardeners.
