Compared to traditional low-molecular-weight inorganic salts like ferrous sulfate, crystalline aluminum chloride offers superior performance. It boasts the advantages of requiring less dosage, producing a larger floc volume, and effectively removing COD, color, and suspended particles.
2. Casting-grade crystalline aluminum chloride is primarily used in the precision casting industry, replacing ammonium chloride as a shell hardener for investment casting patterns. It offers advantages such as stable quality, high shell strength, easy trimming, and improved working conditions for employees. Compared to magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride as hardeners, it requires less usage and has a lower overall cost. Using aluminum chloride as a shell hardener results in higher shell strength and approximately a 3% higher overall yield rate compared to using ammonium chloride or magnesium chloride as hardeners.
