1. Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) piping is a lightweight, high-strength, corrosion and acid-base resistant non-metallic pipeline. It is made from an unsaturated or vinyl resin matrix, with glass fibers being wound layer by layer around a rotating mandrel as per the process requirements. The wall structure is rational, maximizing material efficiency. It enhances rigidity while ensuring product stability and reliability, without compromising strength. GRP piping is favored for its excellent chemical corrosion resistance, lightweight strength, non-scaling, high vibration resistance, longer lifespan compared to steel pipes, lower overall cost, quick installation, and safety. It is widely used in industries such as purification towers, chemical plants, and waste gas treatment. The production and application of GRP piping in our country are rapidly growing, with increasing scope and departments utilizing it.
2. Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) process pipes are made from resins and glass fibers using special manufacturing techniques. The process pipes are renowned for their "significant energy saving" due to their characteristics, such as n≤0.0084. Because of the smooth inner wall, the pressure loss in fluid transport is minimal, allowing for the use of smaller pipe diameters or lower-powered transport pumps for long-distance输送, which can also reduce installation costs, cut down on insulation costs, eliminate corrosion prevention expenses, and avoid major repair costs—thus extending the lifespan of the pipes. Under frozen media conditions, the pipes will not crack.
