The dense phase conveying pump is a reliable dense phase pneumatic conveying device that transports powdered materials under high pressure (below approximately 1000 kPa). There are two unloading methods for dense phase pumps, with bottom discharge being the most common. The material inside the tank is fluidized through methods such as inflation through a conical surface gas channel, jetting through nozzles, or other techniques; a fluidization aeration plate layer at the bottom allows for unloading the material from the upper part of the tank. The distribution of conveying gas within the tank across different input levels depends on the properties of the conveying material.
Positive pressure dense phase pneumatic conveying is a discontinuous conveying process, featuring a standard hopper pump with inlets and outlets for material, air input piping, and a storage bin. Prior to feeding into the hopper pump, the storage bin is filled with the material to be conveyed, with all valves being closed.
Positive pressure dense phase pneumatic conveying process is as follows:
1. Open the feed valve and exhaust valve, and the silo pump feeds under atmospheric pressure until the level gauge signals that the silo is full and stops.
2. Close the inlet and exhaust valves, then open the high-pressure gas valve to pressurize the tank.
3. Once the operating pressure is reached, open the conveying air valve and the discharge valve, and the material begins to be conveyed.
4. The end of conveyance is indicated by a pressure switch, level sensor, or timer relay. At this point, close the high-pressure gas valve and the discharge valve to use all compressed air for cleaning the conveying pipeline. Simultaneously, open the exhaust valve to reduce the tank pressure to atmospheric pressure. After completing one operating cycle, the next cycle continues.
The dense phase air conveyance system offers long-distance conveying, low equipment noise, and an overall lifespan of over 10 years under normal use. Our company has a proven track record in various powder industries, and we welcome visits for inspection.
