Square Counterflow Glass Cooling Tower Brief Introduction
The FN series square counterflow glass cooling towers are equipped with variable torque induction double-speed motors for the cooling tower fans. When the temperature is lower (e.g., at night), the motor operates at low speed, reducing the cooling tower noise by 3-5 dB(A). Additionally, using a double-speed motor significantly saves energy. Calculations show that, when multiple cooling towers are equipped with single-speed motors, although some motors can be shut down to save electricity during low wet bulb temperatures, they still consume 40% more electricity than double-speed motors on an annual basis.

Product Performance and Selection
Design Parameters: Industrial tower: Wet bulb temperature of air τ=28°C, cooling tower temperature drop: 10~25°C. Civil tower: Wet bulb temperature of air τ=28°C, cooling tower temperature drop: 5~8°C.
2. When selecting a tower, be aware of the cooling water flow rate Q, the entering tower water temperature t1, the exiting tower water temperature t2, and the wet bulb air temperature.
3. The cooling tower material can withstand low temperatures of -50°C, but please specify if the average monthly temperature in the cold months is below -10°C during ordering, so that anti-freezing measures can be taken.
4. Recirculated water turbidity should not exceed 50 mg/L, and temporarily not exceed 100 mg/L. It should not contain oil污 or mechanical impurities. Measures for algae control and water quality stabilization are required when necessary.
5. The in and out water pipes of the cooling tower can be rotated at 90°, 180°, or 270°.
6. The water distribution system is designed based on nominal flow rate. If the actual water flow deviates from the nominal flow rate by more than ±15%, please specify this when placing the order so that we can adjust some data.
7. The incoming water temperature for the cooling tower must not exceed 60°C; if it does, please specify when placing the order.
8. The installation angle of the fan blades is adjustable, but the angles must be consistent. Additionally, the motor current should not exceed the rated current of the motor.
9. The fan can be temporarily reversed at low speed to defrost.
10. When using the cooling tower's water basin as a pool, additional installation of "Automatic Water Supply Pipe," "Rapid Water Supply Pipe," "Drainage Pipe," and "Overflow Pipe" is required. Please specify at the time of ordering, with additional costs to be quoted separately.
11. Motors and fans are supplied with matching accessories. Our factory staff can be dispatched for on-site installation or technical guidance if required.
Structural Features
(1) Filling Material: Slant trapezoidal wave packing, with increased ribs in the horizontal direction. It has a high water redistribution capability, low resistance, good thermal performance, resistance to high temperatures up to 70°C and low temperatures down to -50°C, and excellent flame retardancy.
(2) Motor: Good sealing and waterproof performance, high-temperature resistance, high efficiency, and low noise.
(3) Reduction Units: Reduction units with power ≤11/5.5KW feature polyester fiber reinforced chloroprene belted drive, withstanding high temperatures and high efficiency, non-expandable when wet, overcoming slipping issues, and minimal noise. Reduction units with power ≥15/7.5KW use gear reduction and are equipped with motors mounted externally to the duct.
(4) Fan: Low-noise, wing-shaped fiberglass blade designed according to the parameters of this series, featuring minimal noise, high efficiency, and adjustable blade angle.
(5) Water collection and distribution system: Utilizes reflective low-pressure nozzles. For small towers, employs single vortex nozzles, ensuring even water distribution and low water pressure. The installed water collection devices can reduce water loss from drift to 0.01%.
(6) Acoustic Facilities: The low-noise cooling tower is equipped with a shield and an acoustic grille above the outlet of the upper tower body, both lined with sound-absorbing materials, to achieve significant noise reduction.
(7) Acoustic Facilities: The low-noise cooling tower is equipped with a baffle and an acoustic grille above the exhaust of the upper tower, both lined with sound-absorbing material, which reduces the noise from the fan and motor. For smaller towers, a mushroom-shaped acoustic grille is installed.
(8) Drip-Reducing Noise Mat: Specifically designed for low-noise and low-noise type cooling towers, this product features a permeable sound-absorbing mat with an inclined wave sheet underneath, significantly reducing the noise from dripping.
(9) Inspection Platform: Top of the tower patterned steel plate inspection platform, convenient for maintenance and installation.
(10) Base Tray: The cooling towers with shallow water trays and deep water trays are equipped with drainage trays for water storage. Upon customer request, overflow, sewage, automatic, and manual water supply lines can be provided, allowing direct water extraction from the base tray.
