Negative Pressure Isolation Chamber

An isolation system is an air purification product that separates operators from powders or liquid products in laboratories or production processes using physical barriers. Its main principle is to isolate animals or objects inside the isolator from the outside from a microbiological perspective. Air is drawn in by a fan, filtered through air filters, and then supplied to the isolation chamber. The chamber is equipped with rubber gloves, and all operations inside are conducted using these gloves. Isolators can be used to raise sterile animals, typically in an enclosed box form. They are divided into two main categories based on the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the isolation chamber: positive pressure isolators and negative pressure isolators. Positive pressure isolators are used for raising sterile and gnotobiotic animals, while negative pressure isolators are primarily used for animals infected with pathogens or radioactive nuclides. They are categorized by material into steel isolators and plastic isolators. Steel isolators are further divided into closed isolators with high-pressure steam sterilization capabilities and open isolators that are sterilized by placing them in high-pressure steam. Plastic isolators are categorized into rigid plastic and soft plastic isolators, the latter being the plastic film isolator. Negative pressure isolators are usually made of steel material, and their exhaust must be equipped with an air filter. A fan is installed at the rear. Negative pressure isolators typically have one-way exhaust valves to prevent backflow of air when the air inside the chamber is expelled.
