Baogang Reinforcement

Bond plastic or rubber washers at the rebar (bolt) location, leaving a gap of 2-3mm between the component and the steel plate for injection of adhesive. The connection between the steel plate and the rebar (bolt) can be made using plug welding or nut connection. Weld the holes in the steel plate and rebar (bolt) completely, with the weld bead extending 3-5mm above the steel plate surface. Cut off the exposed rebar (bolt) and grind the weld bead smooth. The steel plate encases the column at the four corners, with lateral connections made by welding, where the weld thickness is more than 0.25 inches. All welds should be straight, without cold joints, gaps, or slag; the quality of the welds must meet the specification requirements.

5. Injected with glue

To seal the gaps with sealing glue, tightly close the edges of the gap in the package steel plate; during sealing, ensure the passage for injecting glue between the steel plate and the original concrete component remains clear. Simultaneously, embed and seal glue nozzles every 600mm at suitable positions for injection, and arrange embedded and sealed exhaust holes at appropriate locations (at the top of the component and 500-1000mm away from the glue nozzles). Use a pressure-injection pump to inject the glue. After the sealing glue has cured, conduct an aeration pressure test. If any leaks are detected, reseal the gaps.

The entire process of pressure-injection should be controlled in real time; the pressure should remain stable and always within the designated range. When the exhaust port emits slurry, stop the pressure injection and plug the hole with epoxy putty. Then, maintain a lower pressure for 10 minutes before ceasing the injection.

6. Maintenance and Curing

After the gel injection is completed, the material should be allowed to cure for 72 hours. During this curing period, the reinforced area must be protected from any impact or vibration, and the ambient temperature of the curing environment should comply with the specifications stated in the product manual for the injection material.
