Basic Dimensions of Weld Bead Notches
Optimized bevels for weld seams ensure dimensional accuracy and minimize welding distortion.
The general workpiece thickness, bevel form, weld joint form, and bevel size for typical weld bevels are as follows: see the requirements below.
When the workpiece thickness is 1-3mm, the same-plane seams of two pieces are generally焊接 using one side, with a seam spacing of 0-1.5mm.
When the workpiece thickness is between 3-6mm, the seam welding of two pieces on the same plane is generally performed on both sides, with seam spacing ranging from 0-2.5mm.
When the workpiece thickness is 1-3mm, the two L-shaped pieces are typically welded together in a butt joint, usually with one side焊接 and a seam spacing of 0-2mm.
When the workpiece thickness is 3-6mm, the two L-shaped pieces are joined by welding, typically employing double-sided welding with seam spacing of 0-2mm.
When the workpiece thickness is 1-6mm, the two T-shaped joints are typically welded with double-sided welding and a seam spacing of 0-2mm.
Welded Structures
During welding, it is not allowed to continuously weld long seams; instead, intermittent welding should be used to avoid excessive deformation and affect product quality. When welding, ensure that the welding rod can enter the welding area; for manual arc welding, the spacing is generally 20mm, while for gas shielded welding, the spacing should be maintained at 35mm, and the welding rod should be able to maintain an inclination of 45°.
