Hydrocyclone Sand Separator Overview

Our YD-type swirl-type sewage separator, due to its high cleaning efficiency and easy cleaning process, eliminates the need for multiple valves and bypass pipes previously used in sewage separators. This equipment features low resistance that remains constant, and has been included in the "Urban Heating Handbook" and the Jilin Province Standard "Unified Measures for Water and Heating Design Technology." The advantages of the swirl-type sewage separator are positively recognized.

The YD-type vortex decontaminator aims for perfection, significantly improving the structure and performance compared to previous filtration decontaminators. It addresses the challenge of a new heating network often having a high amount of complex debris in its early operation. While standard decontaminators are effective for heavier debris, they are not ideal for lighter debris such as leaves, paper shreds, and wood chips.

The YD-type vortex cleaner has significantly improved in handling lighter pollutants. The upgraded cleaner has eliminated all customer concerns regarding its performance.


Performance Parameters and Model Markings

Due to the advanced basic principle and structure of the YD-type cleaner, it can segregate particle sizes (with a cleaning efficiency of 50% at the particle size) to 0.07mm. When the particle size is 0.3mm, the cleaning rate can reach 98%. It features the convenience of cleaning during equipment operation. Regarding the installation of the cleaner, the angle between the inlet pipeline and the inspection port line of the YD-type cyclone cleaner is determined by the user. If the user has no specific requirement, it is produced as shown in the diagram, and comes in left-hand and right-hand orientations (clockwise being left-hand when facing the inspection hole; counterclockwise being right-hand.).

Select and operate

Select the nominal diameter directly matching the connected pipe. The YD-type swirl separators with DN≤250 can be directly placed on a concrete surface or on a ground of 200mm thick concrete. The YDXL-type swirl separators can be treated as a pipeline movable bracket. Since the filter tube is blocked by suspended matter only at the initial stage of system operation, and the main pollutants are discharged through the drain valve, it is not necessary to install a bypass pipe when using the YDXL-type swirl separator.

Due to the need to clean the filter tubes, stop valves should be installed at the inlets and outlets for draining. The outlet of the drain pipe where the drain valve is located should be set at a designated spot. When there is a significant pressure difference before and after the purifier, the pump should be stopped for cleaning the filter tubes. If a new heating network is operational

After 15 days without any floating matter causing blockage, or after the next cleaning cycle, the YDXL type vortex cleaner will enter normal operating condition, and regular effluent discharge is sufficient.
