Introduction to Hydraulic Cyclone for Mining
Hydraulic cyclones for mining are separation devices that utilize centrifugal force fields to separate two-phase fluid streams, widely used in the classification, concentration, dehydration, desliming, sorting, and washing operations of materials in black and non-ferrous metal mines, non-metallic mines, and chemical mines.
Hydraulic Cyclone Principle in Mining
Slurry enters the hydrocyclone core under pressure, either along the tangent or involute direction through the feed opening, depending on the feeding form of the feed material. Under the action of centrifugal force, large particles move downward with the outer vortex, and coarse sediment products are obtained from the lower sediment outlet. Fine particles move upward with the inner vortex, and fine overflow products are collected from the upper overflow pipe.
