Cast-iron镶铜闸doors are primarily used in water supply and drainage, flood prevention, irrigation, hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering for purposes of shutting off, clearing water flow, or regulating water levels. This series of gates can be divided into square shapes.MZF, round MZY, AZY, and rectangular MZJ types, featuring a unique outer arc design, with a rational structure and even load distribution. They are made of high-quality gray cast iron or ductile iron, as well as stainless steel. The water-stop sealing surface is lined with copper strips or rubber, and precision-machined for a flat contact seal, offering excellent sealing performance. In case the water-stop sealing function deteriorates, it can be addressed by adjusting the wedge device.
Structural Features and Working Principle:
This gate is composed of components such as the door frame, gate plate, guide rail, sealing strip, transmission screw, lifting block nut/hook, and adjustable sealing mechanism. Both the door frame and gate plate are made of high-quality gray cast iron or ductile iron. The guide rails are symmetrically arranged on both sides and secured to the door frame ends with stainless steel bolts and locating pins (for gates with medium and small diameters, the guide rail can be cast integrally with the door frame). The length of the guide rail is generally 1/2 to 1/3 of the full open height of the gate, thus offering high overall structural strength, rigidity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high load-bearing capacity.
2 The gate achieves sealing through wedging by the wedge device. The sealing material is copper alloy or rubber, which is precision processed and matched for good sealing properties.
3. Features pre-buried steel plate or bolt installation for easy installation, adjustment, operation, and maintenance, with a long service life.

Gates and actuators are used together; the gate serves as the working part, while the actuator is responsible for opening and closing the gate. The actuator is powered by manual labor, an electric motor, or pneumatic and hydraulic mechanisms to drive the transmission gears, worm gears, and screws. This drives the rotation of the transmission nuts or screws, causing the gate shaft to move vertically up and down, thereby opening or closing the gate to achieve the purpose of releasing or stopping water flow, or adjusting the water level.
